Elizabeth BucheitElizabeth Bucheit’s tiaras were included in the “Trends” article in Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist, August 2014. The article focuses on body adornment.

Kaminer Haislip - Elle DecorKaminer Haislip’s silversmith work was recently featured in the magazines Elle Decor, September 2014 and Traditional Home, October 2014.

Jera LodgeJera Lodge has begun a residency at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. Lodge is a jewelry designer who works primarily with steel and silver.

Todd Pownell ringTodd Pownell was presented with the 2014 Mort Abelson New Designer of the Year Award at the JA New York Summer Show in July. Pownell’s jewelry workshop is Tap by Todd Pownell.

Rebecca Rose ringEarlier this year, PBS visited metalsmith Rebecca Rose’s studio and captured process, gallery and interview footage for an episode of “WUCF Artisodes.” The show aired in August on over 28 national PBS affiliates.

Kiff Slemmons necklaceKiff Slemmons will be featured in a Gallery Loupe exhibition in November.  There will also be a conversation with the artist and Museum of Arts and Design Director, Glen Adamson.

Jennifer Trask - RocailleMuseum of Fine Arts, Boston has acquired Jennifer Trask’s neckpiece Rocaille. And CODA Museum of Appledoorn, The Netherlands has acquired Trask’s 2013 neckpiece Compositae.

Joshua KoskerEthical Metalsmiths’ first place 2014 Emerging Artist Award of $1,000 has been given to Joshua Kosker of Bowling Green, OH (at right). The third place award of $100 was presented to Jessica Andersen of Audubon, IA. The Emerging Artists are chosen from the applicants for Ethical Metalsmiths’ annual International Student Exhibition.

Bryan BrownThe MJSA Education Foundation recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to six students studying in U.S.-based graduate and undergraduate programs. Two of the recipients are SNAG members: Bryan Brown (at right), a graduate student at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia; and Olivia Shih a senior at California College of the Arts.
