Jessica-Andersen-Metals-Artist-in-ResidenceJessica Andersen is a current artist-in-residence at Craft Alliance. In her work she attempts to showcase the form and appeal of everyday detritus in the construction and presentation of jewelry.

Kat ColeKat Cole was recently interviewed by Joan Dusoe for the Metalwerx blog. Cole also taught a sold-out workshop at Metalwerx, entitled Enameling on Steel. Read the blog article.

Melissa CousinsMelissa Cousins, a senior at the University of Georgia, received a MJSA Education Foundation scholarship. Cousins is currently conducting research into experimental enameling, particularly the use of modern tools in such traditional processes as plique-a-jour and basse tail.

Aurelie_GuillaumeAurélie Guillaume, a recent graduate of Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University, won the 2015 L.A. Pai Gallery student competition. Her work uses enameling to tell new stories fueled by street art, comics, pop art, and counterculture.

tom_joyce_thicketTom Joyce’s sculpture “Thicket” has been installed at the Mint Museum Uptown. It is a seven-and-a-half-foot square block composed of stainless steel rods passing through cast iron hammer heads. The Mint installed Joyce’s sculpture on the Sally and Bill Van Allen Terrace overlooking the museum’s South Tryon plaza.

Pasha MoezziPasha Moezzi, a student at George Brown College, was a finalist in the 2015 L.A. Pai Gallery student competition. Moezzi and Aurélie Guillaume were interviewed by CHUO 89.1 FM radio.
