WE ARE SNAG: Anthology 2022 is a virtual catalog of SNAG membership, created as a visual resource for fellow members, educators, retail shoppers, collectors, galleries, and museums. It will include one image from each participant, presented in a searchable web format. Select images will be highlighted in a 2022 issue of Metalsmith magazine and on social media. Open to all SNAG members. Only $20 to participate. Extended deadline: June 22, 2022.

I’ve played with lots of mason stains, china paints and vitrifiable paints before, but this class is a game changer for anyone interested in painting on enamel. The techniques and skills you will develop are invaluable.
Martha is a master and I’ve been wanting to take a class with her for the longest time. She is so generous with her knowledge, and guides you step by step from making the perfect blank enamel canvas, drawing a fine outline, to painting with mason stains (lots of applications are explored).
The class is jam packed with information, and the online format allows you to go at your own pace. I watched the videos several times before jumping into my project. I chose to apply all the information I learned to this portrait of a quail. There is a class project though that explores a multitude of vibrant mason stain colors.
