Erin Genia

Erin Genia is a multidisciplinary artist, cultural organizer and educator. She works in the traditional Dakota material canupa iŋyan/pipestone, and her artistic practice merges Dakota cultural imperatives, pure expression, and exploration of materiality with the conceptual. She has a degree from the MIT Program in Art, Culture and Technology, is an advocate for Native American cultural issues and has exhibited at the Venice Biennale, Ars Electronica, and on the International Space Station.
