Partin_Charlotte_Intersections_Adorned Spaces 2024

A juried selection of work from undergraduate and graduate students in the metals and jewelry design studio at Rochester Institute of Technology. The word “Intersection” comes from Latin roots, “inter” meaning “between” and “secare” meaning “to cut”. An intersection can be seen as the point where two things are divided or the point where two things meet. The work selected ranges conceptually; investigating the intersection of home and dislocation, memory and the present, as well as the surreal and the real. While all utilize metal, student’s use of techniques varies widely and together, the work encapsulates intersecting points of view.
