Malyia McNaughton

Malyia McNaughton is the founder and owner of Made By Malyia, a familiar yet unexpected
and utterly versatile jewelry brand.

Her passion for jewelry was sparked as a child when she received her first gold bangle. That
passion turned into creativity years later when Malyia created a body chain after not being able
to find one. It was then that Malyia knew she had to fully explore her passion for jewelry and
left her 9-to-5 as a fashion buyer to pursue her dreams.

Since the creation of Made by Malyia in 2014, each piece is designed with you in mind – making
sure that the jewelry is as unique as the person wearing it so that you can express yourself
through adornment. It makes it so that you can stop looking for jewelry that doesn’t tell your
story and instead wear jewelry that speaks for you.

In addition to designing jewelry and running her business, Malyia helped co-found Black in
Jewelry Coalition and is a Board of Director, a board member of the Jewelry Vigilance
Committee and a member of the Women’s Jewelry Association in New York. She is also a
professional commercial and lifestyle model for one of NYC’s top lifestyle agencies, State
Management. Malyia has her Bachelors from Florida State University.
