Details

To investigate the development of an exciting series of enamel surfaces, using the basic vocabulary of mark-making familiar to all visual artists.

Starting by mark-making/drawing through a fine layer of (wet-process) unfired enameil. This technique is known as Sgraffito and is creating using a variety of tools for making fluid and spontaneous forms of drawing. Sensitive and delicate lines can be achieved as well as bold and strong marks, ranging from the very subtle to the most sumptuous. After the first firing this process is repeated until the surface is complete.

The enamel surface is further enhanced by abrading and stoning.
