Explore techniques of woodworking and wood carving as they relate to making wearable works of art. This workshop will teach you to carve imagery, textures, and form into hardwoods for use in jewelry. We will then demonstrate and practice various metalsmithing techniques for incorporating our carved wooden pieces into wearable pendants, rings, earrings, or brooches. Everyone will leave with a finished piece of carved wooden jewelry to be proud of along with samples and notes on a series of processes to build their own practices from. Some metalsmithing experience may be helpful but is not required!

Tuition: $650
Materials Fee: $50
