Online Workshop: BAYONET CATCH WITH STAINLESS SPRING AND SWIVELS with TOM MUIR
April 1, 8 & 15, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm ET
This virtual workshop will focus on bayonet catches, including at least one swivel mechanism and a stainless steel spring for the locking mechanism. Through demonstrations and examinations of various samples, emphasis will be placed on problem-solving and creative applications useful to various formats. Engineering principles of the mechanisms will be discussed, along with useful soldering and fabrication strategies, which can be applied to varied procedures in the jeweler’s studios.
