WILD TIMES IN AND OUT OF THE STUDIO: RAKU-FIRED ENAMELS
JEAN TUDOR

September 24 & October 1st, 2022 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. ET
Though raku-firing is known as a pottery technique, it produces some beautiful effects when used with vitreous enamels. The raku enameling class will provide information about the materials, tools, and the firing processes. We will also work on achieving design control through color placement, the addition of elements such as metal screening and pine needles, and the use of silver nitrate. Which enamels work best, what colors they produce, and where they are available will be discussed.
