Adorned But Not Free

Joclyn Won Goss

The piece itself talks about being adorned but not free. Having all the adornments, the degrees, bank accounts, homes in the right neighborhoods, land, business, and cars, all the things the world say is of qualifying value, but yet, we are still not free. Often not considered of any great value. Often looked at but the preference is not to see us. It addresses leaving traces of the past and present. The hope is to help us remember the immense value of every person.
