Bike Bearing cage earrings

Artist bio: My current body of work references sustainability and the climate emergency. I began a Teaching Artist practice over a decade ago to encourage the sustainability of our field by collaborating with a local youth development program in my city by using bicycle parts to teach metal arts to children and youth. Using both recycled, natural and renewable materials I hope to promote care for the environment in both my materials and techniques.

I now collaborate with the Kennebunkport Historical Society and the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine to promote both traditional skills and their history as well as the many new and environmentally responsible directions manufacturing is taking in the jewelry and metals field to youth and adults through workshops and exhibitions.
