The Broken Heart necklace is inspired by Milagros, which are religious folk charms that are traditionally used for healing purposes and as votive offerings. It was through the processes of chasing and repoussé.
I used the piece to reflect on shared love and to heal my broken heart. It’s such a beautiful and vulnerable thing to stay open to the possibility of love while knowing the pain of having your heart set on fire.
