Ginkgoes have fascinated me for years – the ancient lineage of the species, the association with endurance, strength and resiliency, and the elegance and variety of design. I couldn’t pass up the unique pearls once I noticed them. And I had wanted to figure out how to design a clasp design that could put them together. It’s a necklace for important occasions, ones that could make a person nervous, yet you can still touch the ginkgo clasp, remember it’s strength and think “I can do this!”
Materials: Freshwater cultured pearls, fine silver, sterling silver, 24k gold leaf, 14k gold filled findings, silk thread
