Description

Linda Sánchez

In this offering I use the corn husk (amero) as a symbol of the everyday in my continent, Latinoamérica. It is my past and my present. They are the leaves that wrap the daily food, the same leaves that wrap my gratitude in an action of reciprocation.

My offering is an act of acknowledgment and reciprocity under the concept of feeding to be fed. The clay represents the origin, the life, and the gold plating the grace. It is a game between abundance and paucity. It is the fragile and it is.

Materials: Porcelain, copper, sterling silver, gold plated.

Dimensions: 3 X 7 X 0.5 inches
