The series “Invasive Species” consists of sculptural works that explore the interplay between geometric forms and delicate nature. After spending a month at the Fiskars residency in Finland, I was inspired by hand-made objects for the home. I began sketching lace geometric patterns while at the same time taking long walks through a wooded land. The solitary metal hybrid flowers stand as symbols of resilience and beauty, emerging from the rigid confines of their surroundings.
