The necklace is from the series of work ‘Natsukashii’ based on evoked emotions by objects of personal nostalgia. Kalash is a Hindi term for metal pots used during auspicious offerings, most commonly during ‘surya arghya’ or ‘sun salutations’. Water with rice and flowers are offered to the first rays of sun through a metal pot. It is considered to have many religious and therapeutic significance in Hindu culture.
