I live in a world of memory, familial history and relic-making, contemplating the connections between one generation and the next. The physical actions of my rituals process experiences passed from body to body—a through line between my ancestors, myself, and my children. This neckpiece is transformed from elements of past rituals and record keeping. What was first a triptych, giving form to motherhood, loss, worry and prayer becomes a wearable reminder, worn close to the skin.
