Artist bio: Elizabeth Walton, from Asheville, NC, has a BFA in Studio Art metalsmithing and jewelry design from Appalachian State University. Her recent work investigates beauty, empowerment, and connections by creating small wireform multiples that allow for exploration in finding new and unique forms to be activated by the body. Her inspiration most often stems from design elements she notices in abundantly available commonplace natural objects. She has attended three workshops at Penland School of Craft and recently completed a brief internship with Laura Wood, as well as a research assistantship with Frankie Flood. Her work has been exhibited in various exhibitions both online, in NC and MA, and is featured at several galleries across the east coast.
