Symbolism in the Portafortuna bracelet is inspired by the Cimaruta (translating to “sprig of rue”) a traditional Italian adornment combining multiple symbols that were thought to be the ultimate portafortuna – good luck charm.
Components used to create the links of the bracelet were created using wax carving methods as seen in the references attached.
