Describe how the nominee fulfills the criteria for the IMPACT Award. Maximum 5000 characters.

Ope is a very talented, passionate and driven young artist who has just only recently begun her teaching journey and has already made an impact with the classes she taught. She cuts all of her own stones and cabochons herself, is extremely passionate about sharing her knowledge of metalsmithing and teaching others how to make jewelry. In addition to her traditional metalworking skills she also does flameworking and glass jewelry which she integrates into her practice. She has her own jewelry business and primarily makes an income from her production line. She's deeply impacted and inspired by her Nigerian heritage, the fashion of her culture and represetnation of black voice in the jewelry world. I feel as though she is extrememly deserving of this recognition, as it is important to highlight the talent of young new artists who have a passion for educating others.
