Artist Statement: This bronze piece is from a series I made to express the emotions I felt when I was living back in my home country, South Africa. Being South African born and raised, I grew up with so much nature around me and I discovered that they gave me peace in my most difficult moments. My mini bronze casted jewelry pieces are a representation of certain stages in my life and how I used animals from my country to showcase that in an abstract manner. The rhino and the hippo are some of the animals I used.
