Kay Yee, a formally trained metalsmith, works from her studio in Pasadena.
She studied at California College of Art (BFA) and California State University Long Beach (MFA) and is professor emeritus at Pasadena City College.
Her images may seem familiar to the viewer, but the forms and surface textures lead to new perspectives.
