Over the course of my career, I have honed my skills, learning from and alongside other artists. I have integrated the lessons these artists taught and carry forward their lineage as well. In July of 2011, I almost lost the two most important men in my life simultaneously, my father and my son. I spent four days in my son’s hospital room praying and thinking about life. These circumstances taught me the importance of my own vision. I learned I must bring my perspective to the world in the limited time I have to do that. My work tells the stories of all those who have touched my life, and it tells the story of how I have made my own way.
