“Finger Pointing” is a brooch that converts into a pendant. The material is sterling silver, carved in clay and in wax, with chasing and fabrication. The subject refers to how easy it is to point a finger at at a person as a cause for some problem. The practice is timeless, and I used very realistic sculpting to convey the thought.

Wendy Yothers is a silversmith, artist and author. Her work connects memory with the present moment. She relies on the language of craft to tell her stories, human and allegorical. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Corning Museum of Glass, Newark Museum and others.
