The act of holding, both physical and emotional, is a central theme explored in my work. Holding Generations speaks to the human bond formed across generations, through the performance of ritual practices with inherited objects. Through touch, our DNA is intermingled. The bronze casting captures the removable cup on the top of one of my grandmother’s Sabbath candlesticks molded to the palm of my own hand.

Bio
I fell in love with metalsmithing after working for more than two decades as an architectural designer. I consider my practice a form of nurturing, in which I draw upon the patience and devotion honed while raising children. My work is inspired by relationships, rituals and objects that promote and celebrate human connection.
