Memento is to commemorate my Italy trip from study abroad program. Inspired by astonishing architectures and gorgeous arts there, I transform my observations and experiences into small vignettes made of metal and glass. I wrote some notes when I was there, and I tucked them inside of this “box”. I hope to open it and read those written feelings after decades, and those memories would still come back to me.

Born in Sichuan, raised in Shenzhen, China, Wang is pursuing her MFA in Metalsmithing and jewelry design at Indiana University of Bloomington, IN, and she holds a BFA degree from East Carolina University, NC. Her work is rooted in the formal traditions of enameling and silversmithing.
