This body of work investigates the human use of sight to understand our interpersonal relationships with one another. Drawing from historical and contemporary use of the lens to amplify and distort our sight as a way to speak about our limited understanding of one another. The devices incorporate both fabricated and cast components and powder coating.

Bio
Laurel Fulton is an artist and educator from the front range of Colorado who works in metal and images to speak to ideas surrounding human interaction and communication. She received her MFA from UGA and for the past two years has been a Visiting Professor at GVSU. Laurel is currently an Associate Professor at RIT in Rochester NY.
