My work is the manifestation of the sacrifices and resilience of my ancestors. The symbolism and iconography represented is a visual iteration of their genetic, cultural, and spiritual kinship that has a common foundation in the land, animals, and resources we steward. 30 plus years of dedication and practice of metalsmithing and jewelry provides me with an extensive technical vocabulary with which I manifest objects. These artworks are designed to principle adorn the human body but also hold their own when seen away from their intended presentation form. This is because, like each of us they have their own spirit and presence. This is how our ancestors return to us.
