TABOO STUDIO was opened in 1988 by Jane Groover and Joanna Rhoades. Two years ago they passed the baton to Julie Harris who was a student of Jane's and one of Taboo's goldsmiths. Julie has a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Applied Design from SDSU where she was lucky enough to study under Arline Fisch, Helen Shirk, and Wendy Maruyama. Julie considers it an honor to preserve and continue TABOO STUDIO and proudly represents the finest contemporary jewelry artist, nationally and internationally.
