Silvered Limbed was inspired by the idea of amputation and prosthetics. The “limb” of the tree (or twig in this case) severed and replaced with a cast silver version. There is a morbidity hidden in the beauty of this piece.

Connor graduated with an MFA in metals and MA in Art Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her work combines metals, fibers and found objects to create whimsical forms inspired by her love of fantasy and nature.
