My jewelry is concerned with the interplay of natural forms, contrasting elements and symbolic content. In the Radiance Collection, 22K bi-metal “Sundots” are used to depict the light and power of the sun; while organic swirls in oxidized silver provide a contrasting ground. My intention is to achieve a balance of complimentary shape and color, suggestive of the interdependence and harmony that exists between the sun and the natural world.

Lucinda Brogden is a studio jeweler working in Winston Salem, NC and Celo/Burnsville, NC. Her jewelry and chased bronze wall panels have been widely exhibited in the US. She has an MFA in Art Metals from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and has taught design and Japanese Chasing workshops at RIT, Penland, Arrowmont and Peter's Valley.
