Till The Cows Come Home, is an enameled brooch featuring a gel pen animal portrait framed by an adapted technique of plique-a-jour on crocheted wire. Worn close to the heart, this piece commemorates and memorializes the time I spent as a teenager working with dairy cattle and the four legged friends both loved and lost over the years.

Emmie Tallman is a second-year graduate student studying Metalsmithing + Jewelry Design at Indiana University. Through a combination of metalsmithing and textile practices, Tallman creates sculpture for the body that playfully engages with themes of nostalgia, memory, and community.
