Through my work, I want to interrupt typical ideas of gender as they relate to jewelry and fashion. I am interested in bringing forward the ornament, objects, and ideas that are usually found in the periphery. Through deconstructing and reorganizing traditional structures of adornment and jewelry. I hope to raise questions about the value that we place on signaling social systems like gender, class, and power through things that we wear.

While my artistic practice has spanned over a decade, my interest in metalsmithing has only resurfaced in the past two years. This summer I completed my first body of work, graduated from the UO and hope to apply for a Master's Degree in metalsmithing.
