“What’s on Your Mind?” is based on a statement made by a friend after her encounter with racism. People use social media as a form of confession, so I made the door/grill on the front door of the book. The pages of the accordion book can be seen through the grill. I wanted to convey the disgust and anger in the powerful statement my friend made.
