Emily Pellini’s work can best be described as a combination of narrative, lines, and a lot of glitter. While pieces share concepts of trauma, family dysfunction, and shame, they are tied together in delicately lined patterns, illustration, and hand-lettered text. Restricting color pallette and unifying with shimmer and texture, Emily longs for viewers to see work as a collective; small shared memories and feelings decorating a surface to tell a story.
